On Windows, adversaries can abuse compiled HTML Help (.chm) content loaded by hh.exe to proxy execution through the HTML Help system. CHM files can contain HTML and scripting or ActiveX content, but opening a CHM does not guarantee arbitrary code execution; the observed behavior depends on the file contents, host configuration, and user interaction. ATT&CK T1218.001 describes this system-binary proxy execution behavior.
