T1574.001 · MITRE ATT&CK

A 2023 third-party report described a Windows 11 Pro build 22631.2506 case in which OneDrive searched PATH for Microsoft.UI.Xaml.XamlTypeInfo.dll and Microsoft.UI.Xaml.Controls.dll. The report says a DLL found in a writable searched directory ran with the logged-in user's permissions. It identifies the Windows build but not the OneDrive application release, and is not proof of current OneDrive behavior or privilege escalation. Windows DLL resolution varies with app type, loader calls and flags, manifests, package dependencies, and system version; confirm the exact installed build and effective load behavior before treating the report as applicable.
