Adversaries with an Active Directory inter-realm trust key can forge referral ticket-granting tickets (Trust Tickets) to impersonate a principal from the trusted domain when requesting a service ticket in the trusting domain. Whether that principal can access a resource depends on trust direction and type, SID filtering and selective authentication, target policy, and the resource's ACLs.
