Validate Credentials

Check whether one known domain username and password authenticates to the specified Active Directory domain controller through LDAP or Kerberos. The selected service endpoint must be reachable from the tester; an Internet-reachable domain controller can be tested without an internal foothold only when that exposed endpoint is explicitly in scope. A positive result confirms authentication only for that protocol and endpoint at the time tested; it does not establish authorization to other services or lateral-movement access.
