Visual Basic (VB) and derivatives such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and VBScript can execute code. VBA macros can be embedded in Office documents; VBScript can run through Windows Script Host or be embedded in an HTML Application (HTA). The steps here show Windows Script Host and HTA invocations as alternative examples. Excel XLL add-ins are native DLL add-ins, not Visual Basic code, and are not described by these steps.
