Threadless process injection executes code in a running target process by temporarily hooking an exported function in a DLL already loaded by that process. When the target naturally calls the function, a trampoline runs the payload in that existing thread context, restores the original function and execution state, and returns control to the original code. This variant avoids creating a dedicated remote thread for its initial execution, but still modifies target-process memory and can disrupt or crash the target if the hook or state restoration is incorrect.
