Certain Microsoft first-party public clients belong to a Family of Client IDs (FOCI) and can issue family refresh tokens (FRTs). An FRT obtained through an authorized device-code flow or from an exposed token cache may be redeemable for an access token under another confirmed family client, using that target client's available delegated permissions. This undocumented behavior can exceed the permissions of the original client application but does not elevate the user's directory privileges. The known FOCI client set is non-exhaustive and may change.
