Change a local host identifier with native operating-system utilities: rename a Windows computer, assign a static IPv4 configuration to a Windows interface, or set a hostname on a systemd-based Linux host. These are separate, platform-specific procedures, not a required sequence. Each requires authorized access to the target host; the IP procedure also requires a network-approved address, mask, and gateway (or no gateway). Changes can affect inventory and name-resolution data, but by themselves do not bypass authentication, access controls, or monitoring. The supplied procedure does not establish a specific ATT&CK technique mapping.
