Simulate keystrokes on a victim computer by using a physical USB device that enumerates as a human interface device (HID) keyboard or by software input APIs. Injected keystrokes can launch a command interpreter, type a script, or interact with the active GUI as the logged-on user. The physical HID and software-mediated paths are distinct implementations of input injection. ATT&CK maps the broader technique to Linux, Windows, and macOS; the concrete commands in this record are Windows examples.
