Subdomain takeover (subdomain hijacking) occurs when a DNS record, commonly a CNAME, points to a deprovisioned third-party resource that a new tenant can claim. Successful control can let an attacker serve content or otherwise use the victim subdomain. This procedure enumerates candidates and validates provider-specific fingerprints; it does not claim the resource.
