This procedure inspects legacy Microsoft LAPS policy and client-side extension artifacts on a local Windows endpoint. It reads the legacy policy registry key, resolves the registered CSE DLL path, and checks whether that file exists. These artifacts do not prove that policy is effective, that a password was backed up, or that the operator can retrieve it; built-in Windows LAPS uses separate policy roots.
