Groovy

Groovy is a JVM language and command-line interpreter that runs inline expressions and scripts. The groovy -e examples here execute locally with the current OS account; they do not invoke Jenkins APIs or the Jenkins Script Console. Jenkins has a separate embedded Groovy Script Console, which requires Overall/Administer and can operate with the controller or agent runtime's privileges. Standard Jenkins credentials are encrypted at rest; reading credentials.xml directly shows stored XML and does not itself decrypt credential values.
