NGINX is a web server and reverse proxy that accepts client requests and forwards them to an upstream server. The example below configures an HTTP reverse proxy listener. When deliberately deployed as an external intermediary for command-and-control traffic, this behavior maps to ATT&CK T1090.002; the proxy alone does not provide an implant or establish a C2 channel.
