WSuspicious is GoSecure's unversioned C# proof of concept for the historical Windows Update/WSUS proxy local privilege-escalation behavior. GoSecure's 2020 disclosure labels the issue CVE-2020-1013 and says Microsoft acknowledged the report while the public CVE description was wrong; the current Microsoft-authored record for that ID describes Group Policy over LDAP, so the exact CVE mapping for this WSUS issue is not independently verified. The tool replaces the signed-in user's Internet Settings proxy, intercepts the configured WSUS exchange, alters update metadata to stage a user-supplied executable, and can trigger an update scan. GoSecure tested Windows 10 builds 17763 and 18363. Microsoft's September 2020 WSUS client updates changed HTTP-based scan behavior to use the system proxy by default unless user-proxy fallback is explicitly configured. This is a legacy proof of concept; assess client version, patch state, and policy rather than assuming it works on current systems.
