A C utility distributed with dsniff that observes DNS address and pointer queries visible on a selected LAN interface and forges matching replies using a hosts-format mapping file. It supports authorized testing of DNS redirection and adversary-in-the-middle exposure; it does not itself establish on-path visibility, operate a web service, intercept TLS, or capture application credentials.
