Masscan is an asynchronous TCP SYN port scanner that uses its own TCP/IP stack and is designed to probe large IPv4 and IPv6 ranges at high packet rates. Its upstream 1.3.2 README reports up to 10 million packets per second on one machine, but achieved throughput and response completeness depend on hardware, driver, and network conditions. With --banners, it completes TCP connections to collect simple banners for supported protocols on their standard ports.
