mitm6 uses rogue DHCPv6 replies on the victim's local IPv6 link to configure its link-local address as DNS server for Windows clients, then selectively answers matching DNS queries with attacker-controlled addresses. It is commonly paired with a separate Impacket ntlmrelayx listener for WPAD authentication relay; mitm6 itself provides DHCPv6/DNS spoofing and does not perform that HTTP/NTLM relay. It does not advertise itself as a gateway, so its effect is limited to the local segment and selected DNS names.
