File Share Enumeration

Lateral Movement

Linux cifs-utils helper that mounts a known SMB/CIFS share (a UNC path such as //server/share) on a local directory through the kernel CIFS client. It enables file access using the supplied credentials and server-side permissions; mounting alone does not enumerate shares, execute commands remotely, or elevate privileges. Authenticated access to remote SMB shares can be used as part of lateral movement.
