ssh2john.py is a Python helper distributed with John the Ripper Jumbo. It reads supported password-protected SSH private-key files and emits John-format $sshng$ verifier records to stdout for offline passphrase auditing. It does not authenticate to an SSH service, recover a passphrase, or perform the subsequent cracking step.
