UPX (the Ultimate Packer for eXecutables) is a portable executable packer that compresses supported formats, including Windows, macOS, and Linux executables. Packing changes the executable representation and can be used to conceal code or alter file signatures; it does not guarantee evasion of security controls or indicate that a file is malicious.
